Iraq project

As part of 4-person team from the Tribune, we began this project when President Bush ordered 20,000 more troops to Iraq for "The Surge" in 2007. The Army ultimately denied us permission to report further from Iraq but we are looking forward to the soldiers return later this summer. Aahmer Madhani and Kuni Takahashi reported from Iraq while I joined writer Dahleen Glanton in covering Army families here at home.
